Two Violins, A Viola and a Cello Please

Oh Zinedine, why are you going to quit the beautiful game at the end of this World Cup?

You have so much to offer and so much to teach your english counterparts.

If Gerrard, Lampard and Cole had 10% of your ability I'd love them too.

Your first touch is exquisite and your spatial awareness better than Diegos.

Terry Venables knows the game better than most so when he said that there needs to be music playing everytime you have the ball at your feet, it echoed my thoughts exactly.

A Zidane comes around about every 20 years.

You are the last true playmaker (OK, OK, Deco isn't bad, but he's no Zidane)

If your team do beat Portugal on Wednesday, please, I implore you, do not get booked.

If you missed the final it would be a Travesty.

Play on Zizu, Play on.

He hasn't been such a maestro recently though. His current form is down to wanting to go out on a high. If he doesn't retire now he'll go out on a low.

When Rooney grows up a bit we'll have our own Zidane. Witness the way he beat the Ecuador defender at the sidelines with one deft touch to bring it down, a nutmeg and a burst of pace. It's a shame we didn't see more of that but the best is yet to come.

Agreed glammer. Zidane has not been at his best in recent times. However, his performances against spain and brazil have reminded me why I wanted to have his babies in the first place.
As for Rooney, he is the real deal! I havent seen such an incredible english talent since gazza.
He will grow up, and when he does he could be that 20 year zidane thing.
Maybe the great mccoist at the very least
